Scared and traumatized by Siua

In writing we have being writing about WW1. We have being looking at the picture then we brain stormed . After that we chose 3 of our powerful words. Then made that into 3 little paragraphs. This is the photo that we used.

This is one of the sentences I wrote with my powerful word.

The young men only had a little bit of training. When they got into battle they were
scared and traumatized when they saw their friends dying.

ANZAC by Anau

A week ago Mrs Barry told us in our Writing we have to brainstorm and write what we think about the picture of the WW2. We used some adjectives, nouns and verbs to describe what was happening in the image. Then we had to make a 3 sentence story and use some key words in the sentence and vision yourself in the image and how you might have felt.

Hilda Rose - a few words about ANZAC

25worldwar11006.jpg

Our writing for this week was about describing the emotions and feelings of a picture.
Its just like putting your feet into their shoes. Here is a few words I thought of to describe the picture above.
  • Terrified
  • Homesick
  • Alarmed
  • Prepared
  • Impatient
I was really interested in this weeks writing because it gave myself and my class a chance to stop and think about the engaging words we could think of.

ANZAC by PAREATA

This week room 12 has been writing about this picture. First we used our senses to see how it will feel being in a trench. We described what we could hear, smell, see and feel. Once we had all our describing words we picked 3 strong words and had to make 3 sentences. After that we had to use our 3 strong sentences to make a paragraph and from a paragraph we were able to write a story.

Here's an excerpt from my writing: The scared soldiers wore their protection and stood behind the sandbags with their survival kit in case they got shot.......

Trenches swiveled by Asiana

Week 4 is the week where all room 12 students are learning to write 3 sentences for one picture. Here are the three sentences that I have wrote on what the picture looks like.
Trenches swiveled through a mountain in a maze figure - with people crowded upon each other, waiting for the enemy.

“ My heart is getting louder, it almost feels like waiting to get shot. My heart is struggling to work. My heart beats are increasing while time flies by.”

“Protecting my country is something stuck in my head - as I know my family depends on me.”

Hope you enjoyed reading my writing.
